models in their effort to become a leader in the Internet Search & Marketing Media Market.
To facilitate a leadership role, they are building a world class consumer portal - myGuide.com.
The myGuide.com portal will enable registered users to accrue loyalty points for standard internet
search and webmail functions. Each time a myGuide.com user searches the web or sends a webmail,
they are rewarded with loyalty points. Points can be used to participate in exciting contests
or be redeemed for meaningful merchandise.
Using myGuide.com, internet users are rewarded for day-to-day web activities. This is a major
differentiator between myGuide.com and standard search engines and webmail applications.
While these services (search and webmail) have traditionally been free or inexpensive, internet
users have never been enticed by merchandise and prizes to such an extent. Using its proprietary
loyalty incentive programs, MyGuidetm is on its way to becoming a global leader in
Internet Search Portal Solutions through acquisition and retention of registered members.
MyGuidetm contracted 3 Tier Logic to provide strategic consulting services and technology
to build the myGuide Portal. They required an organization that had the technical experience and depth
to build robust web-based tools as well as the ability to provide strategic marketing solutions and
systems to scale users for a world class consumer portal. The content and functions included:

Integrated Loyalty Points Program
All myGuide users will have the option to register to earn loyalty points. In addition to standard
registration information, myGuide will collect user data and profile information through:
- Loyalty Points Program
- User Surveys
- Contests
- Referrals
- Polls
In exchange for points and rewards, MyGuide.com will gather information to analyze user behavior which
can be applied for marketing purposes and advertising targeting. The following information will be
tracked:
- Age
- Gender
- Location
- Keywords list used to search
- Time and date using the service
- Clicked links
- Browser type
- Device type (computer, mobile phone)
